About

I was born in 1970 in Malatya. I completed my primary, secondary and high school education in Malatya. In 1988, I graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine with a degree in Malatya and received the title of Doctor of Medicine in 1994. In 1994-1996, I completed my compulsory service in Malatya Health Directorate as an Education Coordinator in cooperation with METU Faculty of Education, I gave in-service trainings to many nurses and primary care physicians. In 1997, I started my specialization in Neurosurgery at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital and became a Neurosurgery Specialist in 2004.

In 2012, I started my Master’s Degree in Health Management at Istanbul Okan University. In 2018, I completed my Master’s Degree in Health Policies under the thesis supervision of Prof. Dr. Mithat Kıyak with the thesis title of “Turkish Health Transformation Program of Health Transformation Program”.

In 2003-2004, I worked in the fields of accreditation and total quality management in health enterprises in Istanbul. In 2004-2006, I served as a Neurosurgeon and Neurosurgery Specialist at Malatya Private Müjde Hospital, in 2006-2009 I served as Deputy Chief Physician and Neurosurgery Specialist at Malatya Private Gözde Hospital.

I worked as Project Coordinator for the establishment and licensing of Universal Malatya German Hospital in 2009-2012. In 2009, I served as Malatya State Hospital Brain and Neurosurgery Clinic Responsible Specialist. Between 2010-2021, I worked as Malatya Training and Research Hospital Brain and Neurosurgery Clinic Chief.

In 2021-2023, I served as the Head of the Department of Neurosurgery and Neurosurgery at Turgut Özal University Faculty of Medicine and as a Faculty Member. In 2023, I started to serve as a Faculty Member of Neurosurgery at Medera Brain and Spine Center. At the same time, I have been continuing my studies as a Faculty Member at Istanbul Okan University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurosurgery since 2023. I am a member of Turkish Neurosurgical Society, Turkish Neurosurgical Society Spinal Surgery Education and Training Group, and TTB.
